The point, Amer - thanks for the correction, is that gender is a meaningless difference within a class and therefore is not really a significant reason for you to post on your front page. There are many more significant differences between characters, whether you can determine them or not - and thats a whole different discussion - which constitute more notable events. Gender levelling is certainly not a notable event, I don't care how Dlirk spins it. The post is even more irritating given the headline that initially appeared with the story that, while factually accurate, is well out of context given the actual importance of the event. Perhaps if the headline had read "FieldsofLove Becomes 4th Royal On Dep To Make 50, First Prince" people on this board would be objecting less. But Dlirk deliberately choose to argue the point of differentiating male versus female in the game - which, in my opinion, makes it open season when it comes to questioning the professionalism and objectivity of his work. But that's just my opinion - and maybe a couple of others on this board.

De wont be that bad.
Just imagine a str or dex elf with no heals whatsoever, bad hps, but can use a tsu and instead of doing massive dmg with bow can do so with a sword.
Okay maybe its just a little rough since its best heal spells are learned by newb regular elves but maybe if they'll have spells like NB as lvl 50 bonus (youw wish haha) then they'll rock. Otheriwse they're knights with little more dmg than knights and regular elves but without shields and can do FBurn and a few unique spells.
All the ppl that waste their pts on con elves are at a huge advantage with hps more than most str knights but they'll realize that once they're 50+ it wont matter much anymore b/c of NB just like des will figure out they got nothing but larger hp pool except there's nothing to look forward to except pot duels like knights and non-water (such a word? Nope) elves.
Really if you want to have a larger hps/mp for any class then sacrifice your troll belts for a hp/mp belt. Better grab them now before they go up in prices again.
Their main use will be to die honorably in battle. Leap forward young grasshoppers! Make your sensei proud. Sniff, look at them go.

DarkestElfOnDep: If the reason was because FieldsOfLove gave me something, I agree, that would be unprofessional. I don't know why you guys keep bringing Dlirk into this. Reporters cannot post to the site FOR THIS EXACT REASON. However, some of you conspiracy theorists just think everyone is out to get you.
I got nothing for posting this. Oh wait, that's not true.. I did get alot out of posting this. I got alot of misdirected insults, alot of people telling me that the site is dishonest, alot of accusations and insults.

The problem is that a lvl 50 prince is nothing new, "gender" means absolutely nothing in this game.
Fields turns 50,, after a while he does the 50 quest with Dlirk and the next day has a spotlight on the front. Far greater things have been accomplished in the game with far less emphasis put on them.
It's similar to doing a special report on a monitor because he gave you a million adena, while the rest do what they're supposed to. It's unprofessional.

F00Child: Dlirk might be biased. He is a person with opinions, just like you. I don't think it appropriate or "professional" to rewrite his article.
As I said before, there is one reason why, and no one on this entire rant has come even close to showing me what I did wrong: If someone (and this applies to anyone) comes to me and says "Hi, I know of a player named X who hit level 50, he is the first Y to do so on Dep, ever. You have posted all the other first Y to hit 50, I think you should post this one too." I will say yes. I now state this for the world to know - if you come to me and say that a player is the first gender+class to hit level 50 on that server and they give me an interview, it will be on the front page. I am not the Lineage server, I don't know these things when they happen, I don't know everyone's race and class just by hearing their name, I have to be reminded sometimes.
And now, an excerpt from the conversation:

Also, on the speed matter. Prince and Princess, when not morphed, have different speeds (all genders do, and it's based on weapon -- check the Morph guide). That is NOT the reason, that is just a correction I wanted to make.

No problem! Glad you asked :) Gender and level are the only thing 100% of people who don't mind being announced will show. With most people, it ends there. How can I know who the first WIS knight is if no one tells me their stats? It just takes one person to not tell me to create enough confusion for me not to know who is first. Thus, I stick with what can be shown: gender can be looked up on LinWeb, and level 50 is shown by morph.
