Sorry ghostmachine, all my "you" was meant in the general you sense.
My justification is simply that I posted this for one reason alone, which is because he is the first male of his class on Dep. If you don't think that's something I should post in the future, believe me, I heard you already. After all, we started moving all the level 50+ posts to the Spotlights section by popular demand in the first place.
Despite that, I have already stated my intention to post the first class+gender to the front page, as I hope to for LoA and the Dark Elf class, so now I have to wrestle with taking back my promise. You might have to endure a few more posts that are "not newsworthy", in your opinion.

Never once did I say or infer that Dlirk had been bribed or somehow coerced into trying to post that story. Nor did I ever accuse the site of being dishonest. Please don't turn this discussion into something it is not. And I also fully understand that you are the one posting articles - not him.
What I am saying is that Dlirk and Fields are good buddies and that Dlirk pushed you, by your own recount, to post that story. He did so under the guise implying that a Prince (vs Princess) levelling to 50 is somehow a noteworty event. That is rubbish - whether you or he agree with me or not.
My point has been from the beginning has been that gender/class reaching lvl 50 means nothing. It is NOT a newsworthy event. Posting it as such detracts from the hard efforts of the first people in the class to actually make the level. It also detracts from many, many other newsworthy events which you DO publish everyday at LC. Thats why I come here to LC and am a regular reader, if not poster.

If I'm not mistaken the Claws and Double swords hit twice per round...
That's a significant advantage over a Tsu. I guess my only concern is that if the knights are hitting twice in that same spawn as a DE because of braves, then well your attack strength is neutralized and you are left with a knight with no AC...
We'll see how beneficial the spells are. I reserve judgement until I see it.
Honestly by defensive capabilities being slightly higher than a mage I think they were referring to the AC available to them and not Soft AC. No shield, specialized gear that gives you buffs but not the best AC...

I would rate my own story 6 out of 10 (not Coming of Magic, that one is 8 out of 10) and your story gets a rating of 8 out of 10.

ghostmachine: I changed the headline, and it won't change anything. The people who complain think that Dlirk has been "bribed" to make a front page post, and my point is that he cannot post to the front page. Only I can. The end.
Now, if you think the news is useless information, then there are also 1788 other news where people say "who cares" and "why does this matter?" That's fine, I respect your right to post that you don't give a crap and why. This is a discussion place after all.
The problem is if you accuse LC of being dishonest. If you don't care, fine. if you think we posted this for any other reason that because he is actually the first male Royal to hit 50 and we have always tried to post the first gender+class to hit level 50 and NOTHING MORE, then you (not you, personally, but people who think this) have another thing coming.

In reference to #89 - i'm not insulting you. At least I hope you're not taking it that way :). I'm just pointing out, like I believe many others are, that you might want to change your posting criteria going forward.
