I agree with you Legalos4...the idea that a nimble dex elf (or dark elf) with no shield and relatively light armor is somehow bad at quickly ducking/sidestepping incoming arrows, whereas a big ol' knight wearing plate mail and carrying a heavy shield can just miraculously do this, is utterly ridiculous. It might be a nerf (or, depending on the view, bonus) to achieve balance, but it simply doesn't "fit."

Then again, nor does it fit that the same said knight in plate mail can walk faster than an elf. So speed's all messed up too. At least they fixed that aspect for the dark elf. If NC really wanted to be accurate, when they publish ep 13 elves should have their speed increased to dark elf speed.

I am going the wis de elf. There are so much potentials for them just like a lvl 50 wis nature blessing elf.

Im tired of seeing nb elves keeping a group of knights/elves nearly invulnerable in sieges.

They arent going to be gods unlike regular water elves in mop hunts but the dark elves can bring back the fun in sieges instead. They'll add a new element instead of a group of well equipped elves with nb elves as back up or a group of fb mages hitting a few keys then venz. Instead of seeing a group of elves taking castle doors, here comes a group of dark elves and they're scrambling out of formation hitting nature blessing like crazy because they've finally met their match.

Now we just need a few brave souls to sign up for kamikazes.

i'm putting in as much as i can into str then the rest to dex, de's aren't meant to be hunters so whoever said they wanted the hp for hunting should use another char to make cash. with soft ac these guys are probably gonna cost as much to lvl as a knight. if they had braves/wafers they'd be gods, now they are just real strong. ppl that are making de's to lvl 45 for final burn suiciding with 18 wis are gonna hurt bad. if 2 wis de's jump out and final burn even a con knight then their victim is dead. put a +50mp belt on them and each one should have like 350-400 max mp.... ouch!

Well, for those who think you should go CON: You aren't being very wise -.-

This class is practically made for PK and Melee. 18 con = No strength and 15 dex, so melee isn't going to be very good.

20 str, 17 dex. Same +bow damage as 18 dex elf, same sword damage as STR Knight, and you WONT MISS! 20 STR Knights can hit bosses very easily with B-Kat. 18 dex elf can also hit quite often. Now you have a VERY HIGH +hit with those stats, and best possible damage whether you choose bow or melee weapon.

And why not CON? DE's have:
+50 HP Boots, slight ac drop for them.
+30 HP Cloak, same AC as CoP.
+50 HP Belt
+20 HP Ammy
-----------
+150 HP from items in slots that aren't going to kill you if you use +HP items.

Dex Elves GENERALLY have about 140-190 HP less than CON Elves (when comparing level 45+), meaning with those items, you wil have same HP as a CON Elf, with same bow damage as DEX Elf, same melee damage as STR Knight. (AKA: GOD!)

Legolas that is true for existing classes, but we dont know if it carries to this class. CON is very class specifc, so it can't be said exactly what the DE "breaking point" will be. So far 90% of you have been wrong, saying DE hp will suck....

The hp difference between 8 and 15 con is almost nothing, you only start seeing a difference with 16-18 con.

With ER: Elves and Dark Elves should get a ER point every 4 lvls and knights should get an ER point every 6 lvls. Knights should not have more ER than the two more nimble classes in the game.

Imagine a level 60 knight -> +15 ER base - High level knights will be almost immune to arrows and magic o_o
