I just wanted to post a comment on the changes I made to this article. I removed the timeframe from which the money was made from the exploit and also some misquotes.
This is totally my fault - I'm not a professional journalist, but I do know that when you do an interview with someone in person, you always have to go back to the person after the interview and "fact check" all the data (how much in how many hours) and make sure that you are quoting someone correctly.
Now, a bit late, I am doing what I should have done last night and am confirming all the details of what was said with NC. I will post again once it's done.
So, sorry to LC visitors for posting the wrong info and I'm sorry to NC for misrepresenting them. :(

40 mil was between all servers all players that participated in this
castle maybe capped at 400k per 4 hrs
but the scroll thingy was you buy for 100 and sell for 104 so you make 4 adena profit on yourself not from the castle so 1,000,000 scrolls would give your 4 mil in cash + what ever the castle gets from taxes

Great writeup Dlirk! Wish I could have been there ^^. Would be nice to have improved weapons for knight. Maybe I could finally start making some real money. Since I'm in the trenches getting dirty and bloody would be nice to be rich too .. lol.
Anyway, some interesting comments, but one has to wonder ... what actually did happen? What we read are mostly rumors made by some few players who see nothing wrong with breaking the rules. Or maybe they know more than they are willing to say because it would be self-incriminating??? Hmm ... seems to me that NC has all the logs and what we do in the game is transparent to them ... and maybe they have a good reason??? I wonder what I'd do if it were my game and there were a small group of people who were ....??? "It's the axe for you, bud!!"
But enough already ... sorry ... I'm regressing ... LET'S MOVE ON!!!

He could/should add bonuses for Blessed items and make more monsters (Bugbear, KBB, Ettin, Succubus & Queen, and some others) Demons or Undead, to make those items worth getting =\ And of course lower their drop rates by much.

lol you guys do realized Capt was most likely talking about LoA, and you non-knights on LoA should really just shut up god. what have they done for knights on LoA? no damage/lvl bonus, no hom's, yeah they sure as hell are pampering those LoA knights!
