I believe you can only go to +127 or -127 because the type of variable they used for the enchantment level can only have 255 different states (0 counts).
There are different types of number variables. (Integer, whole, etc.)
That is also the reason why 32767 is "max law". It's all about the way the variable was declared in the coding.

this mage must own. str mages are easiest to lvl up and he must have like +10 or 11 sof at least and he does CRAZY damage. not like a +11tsu or anything but still that mage rocks. Str mages are very good to have. now its him doing alot of damage, and 2 ettins or even dire wolves. i dunno if any dk can stop that.. probably but it still hurt alot.

We should also commend the Princesses who did it before him, no need to make such an ugly stink about it, plz guys. It would've been SO easy to just mention that in frontpage instead of giving everyone a jump... respect should always be given where it's due.
