11/8 Korean Test Server updates
Lineage Playforum reports (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051004&kid=2825) that new updates were published to the Korean Test servers on 11/8:
  1. Monsters in Hidden Valley and Singing Island have been made easier.
  2. Siege interval has been changed from "every 2 days" to "every 4 days". To compensate for the double income collection of pledges that keep a castle, the prince will get 40% less adena from taxes.
  3. Added enchanter NPCs to each castle so that castle-owning pledges can receive free Enchant Weapon and Bless Armor.
  4. In Free PvP zones, the 1/8 damage by monsters rule (we previously posted that dogs and summons will inflict 1/8 normal damage in PvP combat) does not apply.
  5. Cancelling players (or tames and summons) that are not in your pledge or party (or their tames or summons) will turn you "pink".
  6. Using Return to Nature will turn you "pink".
  7. Call Clan will not work on locations that cannot be bookmarked (does not apply to siege zones).

"Does not apply to siege zones" meaning you can use it right beside tower?...
I could just see an attacking pledge's prince/ss calling a few dk knights right beside tower o.O

4 days + 20% increase in tax money. sounds uber to me.

(100%[you collect tax twice now right?] tax x2 - 40% x2 = 120%)


or is it 200% - 40% = 160%?

Because Summon does 1/8 dmg to ppl when Pking but in Combat Zone it does full dmg to players like it used to or still does in US the 1/8 dmg from summon was in one of the recent korean updates.

This is stupid update..
example : castle earns 2mil every 2days currently
now castle earns 800k every 2 days and u keep for 4days..
thats 1.6m for 4 days wen we use to earn 2mil for 2days..
thats more than half less~!!!!!!!!!!! --;;; not fair for new castle owners when old ones earned almost double them...~~

whooops! bad news for princes about the tax thingy but the prince and his pledge get a tiny advantage with the enchanty dude. HOW THE HELL CAN RETURN TO NATURE (elven spell) MAKE YOU PINK?!?!?! i thought all it does is teleport you back to mutha tree -.- .......

If any elf Return to nature my lvl 48 dobberman im gonna be mothertree mad!

The 1/8 summon thing might have a solution that mage will be able to use them again in siege zones like good old days!

Siege peace time increase is good, the possibility that more ppl will attend each war raise by the law of statistics.

Cancel should be MR%, SP and Magic Bonus related. Correct me if im wrong but maybe also gender related, it's commonly known that females don't have the magical skills as we opposite true wizards posses.

Good that castle holders gets more advantage, that will make more pledges wanna own a castle and might lead to less gamedestroying alliences.

Tips of the day: To avoid deaths you have to keep your healthpoints above zero.

Tempo: Castle earns 2 mil every 2 days. 40% reduction = 1.2 mil every 2 days. For 4 days = 2.4 mil.

Smelly Fungus: Return to Nature makes summoned/magically tamed mops go wild. You are thinking of "Return to Mother" which is a different spell.

Cancel is a neutral spell because it can be used for both good and evil. Now they are giving a punishment for using it for evil.

how does the game know if you are using cancel for good or evil if someone not in your pledge or party gets slowed and you cancel it you go pink. why would return to nature make u pink it should only be able to be used on your own stuff -_- i think it would be gay if you were able to do it to a mages/elves summons and tames (non-dog ones, spellcasted ones; that was for tissot u wont lose ur dog ^_^) i can see a new 'amendment' to griefer tactics being whined about already ~~

They are not k-zs making less money, castles are acctually making more per siege. The only difference is a bigger gap between sieges. So insteal of making 2mil between a siege they now make 2.4 between sieges....

yeah u lose money with the extended period of time, and why did nc think that people would want siege times modified to 4 days, plus if some did why impose a penalty in money taken in by taxes which causes u make less money than u did if u had the castle for 4 days. ok now heine will become almost as bad as orc town, hiene barely makes 100k a day and if that 4 day thing comes here heine will only make 240k every 4 days which is plain bad. and giran is the one that really losses a lot of money cause of this,

plus sieges are what keeps some people in the game and if they make sieges occur less they may lose people.

now that i think about it could this 4 day thing be another thing to help get a less higher rating that what lienage has now other in korea? since lately they been puttin out a lot of things that make pvp less fun

100k a day (current)
(100k * 2) 200k (current siege period)
60k a day (new)
(100k * 4) * .60 = 240k (new siege period)

i guess this is where u look at people who see things 1 day at a time, and who actually looks down the road. you should care a whole hell of alot more about how much money u make for a siege period, not a day-by-day basis. is there something you really need with that castle money today what you can't wait for tomorrow to buy and have more money overall? what about siege expenses for you and your pledge(s)? would you rather spend unknown amounts of money every 2 days or that same unknown amount of money every 4 days? that means you save even more then~

I would just like to say

*** Not all updates on korean server ever, even hit US servers ***

Reason why I can see siege period switching from 2 day intervals to 4 days is because on korean servers there are at least 1.5k - 2k users at 1 given time.

The bigger sieges has a screen full of attackers and towers near the castle tower. You cannot move 1 cell at all!

While the smaller sieges I would think, would have a good 100-200 siegers/defenders.

What would be the purpose of making sieges 4 day intervals on US servers? I know some ppl that only plays the game for sieges. Why make it less?

Reason being so, Korean servers = more users. US servers = less.

If the 4 day interval system takes place, I wouldn't think it possibly will, it will be bad for the game.

trust me that 240k that heine would make wouldnt begin to cover all the cost generated for one heine siege unless the people u had there were nice and didnt want payment, i have known people to loose a lot of money just cause the place they own dont cover the expenses that was generated, so the less money that they want to the impose would just make it worse. if they got rid of that stupid tax penalty of 40% one of my major problems with this would be gone,

i could accept 4 day sieges or 3 day sieges as long as the 40% tax is gone

I love sieging...this may make sieges more intense, or just the same only 1/2 as often. But with the taiwanese taking our castles on Ken it could be over a week before i get to siege.
Ex: Taiwanese take = 4 days after that american/euro retake = 4 days after that siege time i can attend o.o. Thats rediculous ><

cancel always turns u pink anyhow...

that was already applied to our servers...

prince/princess will be happy that clan call doesn't restrict siege zones when using the spell

the places where u can't bookmark normally, who cares
most important is during siege time, so a prince/princess can sneak in and cast the spell to bring their troops to kick ass

the castle owners used to whine and whine how 2 days sieging period is annoying that they dont even can fully enjoy the benefits of owning the castle

now..they make it 4 days, and add in enchanters, and the -40% income
yes, the 40% income is kinda hurt but think of it like paying for those enchanters too - -:...

orc fort probably wont have these things...since it doesn't have a free storage for the owning pledge..
