LoA: Mages should use Magic

Yes, I know it's hard for everyone to believe. The moment I logged in, I traded my dagger for the Wizard's Cap (which is now AC -1, not AC -2) and used e-bolt exclusively as my level-up weapon. Not once did I stop to regen. Yes, I non-stop ebolted my way from level 1 to level 6, at which point I had to log off and tell you guys about it. :)

Also, there are NPCs on both Singing Island and Hidden Valley that will trade 2 Lump of Metal for a Ring. It appears to do nothing. Perhaps I one of the quests is to marry someone ;)

There are also some new monsters: Skeleton Mage (level 4), Skeleton Wizard, Dwarven Miner (level 3). There are even "Health Potions" *and* "Lesser Healing Potion". I'm not sure if that's a typo or a new difference.

Tried a STR mage..

Oh well, ebolt with 2 SP is still stronger than sword hits with 18 str...

I noticed a wandedring npc in HV that sells potions in the battle field. Also a npc that makes skeleton shoes (i guess someting like beserker shoes?). Are these new?

The wandering potion NPC is old. But the skeleton shoes are new.

yo...r the drops better than live servers? ive only fought 1 goblin and it dropped me 17a...i think thats better but it might just have been THAT goblin...:D

the skelton shoes are new u neeed skeleton clip that the skelton king drops and
2metal whitch dwarfs drop and the skeleon shoes are 0+ac and pernement haste
like bersterker axe

E-bolt can be used if you wear the Wizard's Cap for 1 MP each. It's like an HOM now. And there is an NPC which trades Wizard's Cap for Dagger and back, for free.

btw.. now mages might as well keep that cap because new quests aren;t out yet, so in LoA mages have nothin but blue pots to help mp regen rite?
e bolt for 1 mp... i want to cast fb for 1mp

You can trade the ring + ruby/sapphire/emerald/diamond for a new Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Diamond Ring. The upgraded rings give +hp or +mp depending on what type you choose.

I leveled a true int/wis mage to lvl 6 1/2 in about 10 minutes (then had to log off)... 1 mp ebolt rocks

Lol Cool down period i wish i could take one of those i like LoA besides the drop Rate its kinda difficult with soft ac and no cash and there isnt enough mops in si and ti's mop are to strong for a lvl 5-9 mage
