Looks like a bec de corbin in the inv, wouldn't be surprised if it looks like a spear wielded. But then again, it could be like a club, with different graphics for different classes (staff type on mage, axe on other classes).

well done pic. the background and the staff adds so much to the picture

some constructive criticism though: the shading is a little unrealistic considering that the light from the staff is coming from behind the elf. The shadows on their faces would be a little more contrasted, but other than that it's a really good picture. I like how you've mixed the different styles of pictures into one. Nice.
