11/22 - LoA - Discoveries and Updates

The following updates were announced or discovered on the LoA server:

Low quality Gems only have changed. They're used in crafting now and drop more frequently. To offset the lower prices, the mops that originally drop low quality gems, now also drop medium quality gems--you'll actually come out a little bit ahead.
Your PK count will not increase if you kill someone on the LoA server and you are full lawful (but you will go chaotic)
A bug where logging out could delete items has been fixed.
A bug where you couldn't hit anything with the Staff of Elindaire has been fixed.
Staff of Elindaire now has +1 damage and +3 to hit, instead of just +3 to hit. However, it still cannot be enchanted.
The newbie "Wizard's Cap" has been renamed "Wizard's Training Cap" to differentiate between the newbie item and the Mage Set item.
A bug where some sieges lasted 6 hours have been fixed.
The Minion boss for the Staff of Elindaire quest has been moved to near the Elven Dungeon entrance (from Northern Talking Island).

On a side note (this is directed a just a small number of people), I've noticed a bunch of people blasting NC for some of these bugs (like the item disappearing bug). Did you guys forget that the server was in beta test? That there will be a full wipe in less than 2 weeks? Of *course* there are going to be bugs on the LoA server in beta. Stop overreacting and digging into CaptSturm. I've seen him posting on the forums at 2 AM, a testament to his dedication to make LoA succeed. I'm so proud to be a part of US Lineage during this time and you guys should be too. :) Go CaptSturm, Melantus and team!

I would like to Second Amers statement, I have been fiddling with LoA also. I like the fact the the real whining was that the US was not getting any perssonal service and this server changes all that.

Tis petty and childish at best...they're trying their damnedest to bring us something targeted to the US market...yet folks still like to cry about things. Amer, just chalk it up to the maturity level, or lack thereof of those that like to whine constantly....lol

question: how a siege last 6 hrs?

finally...at least ti wont get sniped by those minions +.+ while getting chased by ww/lycant packs as if it's not hard enough for lv 15- newbies...tho it'll be harder to find now +.+..forest is so big..and mage...what if the minion spawn inside ef territory (near cave entrance) and there's a fairy next to it? 1 zap! pow o.o zap zap zap mage end

I was only bitching about the deleted items because it has been happening in Ken and Dep servers also. My friend lost his 1st nzel drop he ever got because of it. He's very sad and he's still on his trial period.

Thank you for the "reminder" amer. Everyone involved in getting this new server up and running for the US market deserves thanks, not more complaining.
I was online when the disappearing bug was wreaking havoc and the NC staff handled it promptly and professionally. Online, players were alerted to resets and the Monitor came on as well. Offline, CaptSturm kept players up-to-date with his posts. Mel has done a great job too.
I think LoA is going to be a wonderful experience. Never thought I'd abandon my lvl 48 knight to play a lvl 14 mage, but...there ya have it.

LoA is awsome I have to say.
Test server is for knights, everything in Test server totally supports knights to be the strongest. No wonder there seem to be about 90% knights on Test server. Ex...knight's quest takes 10mins, mage's quest takes 10 weeks if ur lucky to find the damn skull.
LoA is for mage, mage will rule here...I think

I used to play only dep, but R/L made me need to take a 6 month vacation. I'm coming back, and Loa looks like just the ticket. I figure it'll be a fresh start for everyone, and I'm hoping that since it's a U.S. server, then I won't have near as many D/C probs. The D/C on dep has always been my biggiest gripe.

well considering the gems,
ive noticed they dunt really drop more often ( normal ones)
used in crafting? ^^
dat means rings ( for which u need 1 gem) and uf curz like always elven stuff
also about quality stuff, doesnt drop as often as normal ones do
so in general , its a nerv again o.~
we come out a little bit badder then be4
hehe
