Morph Guide completed

After leaving it alone for a long time, I finally found time to finish up the morph guide.. I also reorganized it a little bit. You will find three sections: one for being unmorphed, one for being morphed and one for the special morphs.

With the help of HK Lineage, we noticed that not only are there differences in speed between the male and female characters, but each weapon they wield is a different speed too. All those speeds are now documented. In addition, I redid a few tests where people insisted I retest. For example, lots of people said that spartoi walks slower than skeleton (it does) and skeleton pike swings faster than skeleton (it does). I still like Spartoi because even though it walks slow, it still hits pretty fast ;)

I also added the ability to sort by walking speed, hitting speed and magic speed so you can compare what morphs are better/worse than yours.

For knights, I included the option to see your speed when using braves.

Here's an example of how to get the most out of the morph guide: On my mage, I am primarily concerned with swing speed, since most of the time, I am swinging. My normal morph is spartoi. So, I choose spartoi from the list, click on Haste, since I am normally hasted, and then click on "Swing Speed" to sort by swing speed. Then I have a nice list of all the morphs compared to Spartoi, sorted by Swing Speed.

mmmm.... the female mage (staff) is missing -_-;
#9,10 f-knight REALLY does hit slower than male knight o.o;
kinda easy to see while leveling up in the dummy ground

Amer, I was thinking, someone should make a Castle Owners history for each of the servers. I've seen some other sites try to do this, but they usually don't get it started, or they don't keep it up to date. I know it would probably be tough to update it every night, but with the Castle Control maps it should be pretty easy.

amer, I was thinking too.
1)can you renew the magic guide with REAL effect of the magic.for example,Earth Skin gives -4AC. so it should be stated as that, not just"Bonus is given to the target's AC during the duration".
2)and I would be glad if you can make HP chart for dogs. I want to know if my dogs HP normal or not. because I noticed that everytime my dog die and delevel,and level up again-->1HP higher than before. is this true for all time? can you check on this plz.

btw,I only use Orc Scout morph for Elf, and Skel/Lychan for Knight.

Something strange bout the morph guide, when i put mage on haste and brave it goes -35% or higher. Isnt brave suppose to make it faster?? yeh yeh I know mage cant use brave. I was bored :]

There is one quirk with swing speeds in Lineage... the speeds for the actual swinging and the animation display are not the same on some morphs, for example the male mage. If you go into stun animation during the extra swing animation display time, then you can move or attack another target before the swinging animations would normally end. You can also test this on the training dummies, when you let go of the mouse button it will continue to swing for a while.

This chart is extremely confusing Amer....perhaps an easier interface would be at the top select class w/ weap and if on haste or brave like you have now minus all the other morphs. The user clicks update and only the morphs show up below...not all the mage/prince/elf/knight stuff. And all % should be relative to the unmorphed character. IE I enter that I am a knight using sword, haste, and brave....then I should see what changes happen when I look at each morph listing. Also is a bit unclear which column to compare to when I click that I am hasted and braved...do I assume the % is greater than the walk+haste, swing+haste? Only 1 column should show up for swing, walk, magic, etc... This % should be based on the info they gave you abotu their character status...(ie. mage w/ staff and hasted). All in all kind of confusing ^^

Well, unless I am looking at this all wrong, I think all CON elves out there better have a female character or restart as one. Accoring to the guide, a female elf is as fast or faster with everything except for attack speed without a weapon and using an axe. Most importantly, she is faster at casting magic and sword speed!
This won't affect me as a Dex elf, since I always use a bow and only cast enchants. I don't care about casting speed or sword swing rate.

I wonder if there are other differences between the sexes? An additional hit or damage bonus?

yes dekster that additional hit bonus would make sense...tho i seriously doubt nc would actually balance what they did...*thinks of making female elf, whom is equal bow speed and considerably faster sword speed..* T.T

This is for swinging on auto or holding on the button of the mouse.
Which one is faster holding on the mouse button or drag the arrow down and release?? Or both the same?? but I knowest holding the button more faster than draggin it to the bottom of the screen

If we did that, then we wouldn't be able to compare male knight to female knight, etc. Stop trying to overinterpret it. ;) It's quite simple.

You select what you are. Let's say you select Spartoi morph, haste/brave. This means you are comparing everything in the chart to a spartoi+haste+brave.

Each column in the chart is relative to the morph of choice. From left to right, you are comparing "unhasted mop walk to spartoi+haste+brave walk", "hasted mop walk to spartoi+haste+brave", "unhasted mop attack to spartoi+haste+brave attack", ...

There are alot of combinations, and without 3D, it's hard to represent all the data, but can you think of a way to display it in a better way without losing information?

Hey Amer I noticed that the brave check box isn't sticky. I.E., it always unselects when you sort by a column.

Also where to wafers come into play? or don't they in this guide?

Random side note - anyone know what's up with Templar's site?

Amer, it would help a lot if you had a way to sort for bow morphs or melee morphs. My bow elf only needs to look at bow morphs (the others can't use bows), while my sword knight doesn't need to look at any bow morphs (which can't use swords).

So how come mages are the slowest spellcasters in game? Even only a handful of mops cast slower than mages. Knights cast faster than mages. A knight casts 17% faster than a mage, and a hasted braved knight casts 33% faster than a hasted mage.

Hey Amer,

Love the new morph guide -- excellent work on a great resource. I'd like to second the request for an indication as to which morphs can use a bow. Also, does the weapon speed apply across all weapons? For example, if a morph provides a +xx% does that apply to swords, bows, staffs, etc.?

I never knew Bapho/Beleth morph couldn't wear belts

my only suggestion
maybe there should be a checkmark box for each column
so u can only see certain columns instead of all of it
cuz it is kind of difficult reading all those numbers and comparing other morphs

#35 - the swing speed of a morph doesn't change with weapon (notice the animation doesn't change if you swap weapons, or even just use fists) - the only thing that changes is the damage depending on the stats of the wielded weapon.

How about you all just sort through and see what you want to see instead of expecting it to appear at the top? It's doesn't take too long.

And this guide also shows us why Wafers aren't faster. If they were, Elves would swing faster than Knights, and that wouldn't make any sense.

Gigi, wafers act the same as braves, but don't last as long. To see how an elf on wafer does check the braves button.

Please put back the fact that the morph can use a sword or a bow. It is very hard to tell if that morph supports a bow.
