The New Tower of Insolence |
Reporters for NewsPos braved the "new" Tower of Insolence and tried to describe, in a four-part picture report, what each floor is like now. I'll start off by saying it is *very* different than before. Fortunately, instead of adding even harder levels on top of the first 10, they've made multiple hunting areas, all within one big tower ;)
Here is the quick floor-by-floor, just give me the facts summary:
Levels 1 - 10 (http://www.newspos.com/Content.asp?tb=bnews&ob=news&seqs=32&page=1&pb=N)
Level 1 - Empty as always
Level 2 - No more Dancing Sword or Dire Wolf. Introduced Mutant Ungoliant and Mutant Ramia. These are like DV Skels in strength.
Level 3/4 - No Dancing Sword, No Dire Wolf, No Lesser Dragon. Medusa and Chimera every once in awhile.
Level 5 - No Lesser Dragon, No Dancing Sword. Cockatrice is here, as well as more Medusa, more Chimera and stairs to 6f.
Level 6 - Empty.
Level 7-10 - No Lesser Dragon, No Bone Dragon, No Lesser Demon, a ton of Succubus, and no Lich on 10f.
I'll stop the list for a second to say that these floors cycle in groups of 10, each floor getting more difficult and introducing tougher monsters than the floors before it. The 6th floor of each cycle is an empty "rest" floor. The scrolls now send you to 11f, 21f and 31f. (Old 6f scrolls are now 21f scrolls). On to level 11!
Levels 11 - 20 (http://www.newspos.com/Content.asp?tb=bnews&ob=news&seqs=34&page=1&pb=N)
Level 11 - Dire Wolf, Chimera
Level 12 - adds Succubus
Level 13/14 - adds Evil Mimic (stronger than regular Mimic)
Level 15 - adds a ToI Beholder, not very strong, but MR set needed
Level 16 - empty
Level 17 - Tons of mops, just like 15, but more.
Level 18 - adds Dancing Sword, very hard to find your way around.
Level 19 - An insane amount of monsters. The reporters were killed on this floor, so..
Level 20 - ???
Levels 21 - 30 (http://www.newspos.com/Content.asp?tb=bnews&ob=news&seqs=35&page=1&pb=N)
Level 21 - Dire Wolf, Scary Fire Eggs (level 40, not strong and can't see SOSC)
Level 22 - adds Nightmare
Level 23 - adds Scary Cerberus (level 42)
Level 24 - Scary Fire Eggs in very large groups
Level 25 - adds Lesser Demon
Level 26 - chill-out here
Level 27 - Ifrits and Cerberus. Yes, multiple Ifrit.
Level 28-30 - Increase in number of Ifrits, Lesser Demon and Cerberus as you go up!
Levels 31 - 40 (http://www.newspos.com/Content.asp?tb=bnews&ob=news&seqs=33&page=1&pb=N)
Level 31 - Evil Skeleton Axeman and Evil Ghoul (both are beefed up mops)
Level 32-35 - Evil Skeleton Soldier and monsters from 31 in increasing numbers.
Level 36 - Naptime.
Level 37-38 - More of level 35, getting harder and harder.
Level 39 - Evil Skeleton Archer gang killed the reporters..
Level 40 - ???
Level 41-50, coming soon. :) |
