Quickie: Level 50 Quests

A player from the Korean Lineage Test server emailed us with some more details on the quest as told by the NPCs. A rumor?

He says that a greater evil than Ken Rauhel has been found and that you are asked to go to the Tower of Insolence to stop this evil: the resurrection of Balrog (or as he is known on our servers, Valok)

For completing this quest (how, I do not know, but I did notice 4 new map directories in the Lineage Korean Test directory, implying there were 4 new dungeon floors - of course, they could be something completely different, so don't get too excited ^^), you will get:

Prince: Golden Sceptre
Knight: Death Blade
Elf: Fire Blade *or* Fire Bow
Mage: Crystal Ball of Mana

(Of course, the names could change by the time the get here).

This sucks. The elfs have to choose which one they want. This was just like the choice you had to make on the early elf quest, sword or bow.

Well, hope you can at least dai them.

it doesnt neccessarily suck for the elf, cuz if the elf is dex, you know its going to pick the bow, as if its a con elf, it will pick the blade.

its quite easy to figure out.

I wonder how the mage's item is going to work

they can use magic full time as their primary weapon

yay finally get rid of that extra crap in my inventory (hopefully this will be the quest to use them).

sword or bow for elf hmmmm... lets see soft ac, bonuses only for bows given by level, hm..... yeah i think bow. this thing going to be better than a yumi but crappier than a sayha bow? and to think damn at lvl 50 quest... you can't just "remake" if you blow it (if its enchantable) so i doubt many will have over +7's :\ which means a +7 fire bow would have to beat a +9 yumi...

Actually, it should be able to beat out a +8 Sahya's bow and be 1 handed if it is to be that uber of a weapon. It will probably cost a lot to end this Valok too...It is on the upper lvls of ToI, beyond Lich floor I assume.

hehe... dex elf hits lvl 50..very happy :) ..go do quest... damn Valok too strong...elf got ended...deleveled :( .. cant do quest >:( go level back for quest , ended again..and so on...

im lvl 50 if you give me a SC of natures blessing and natures touch (like i'll ever use that again anyway) i will change elements on dep and try it out (i have the burning weapon crystal) :P

i've seen a lvl 50 fire elf when i was messing around on ken, can't remember her name, but she used burning weapon, and i wanted to see how much damage she did (she said she had a +9rap). she averaged about 29 damage a hit o.O, that's harder than alot of knights hit. burning weapon owns. from what i've heard, it's +6 to damage.

if you can get forgotten sword, burning weapon, str spell + ammy, and pg on a wafered con or str elf......OUCH.

Fahad..... you are right you need to hit lev 50 first. Then you need to make sure that you do the level 45 quest first. But i'm looking forward to that one day.

#17 � a sceptre is the common symbol of royalty. It makes no sense for a mage to have a sceptre as opposed to a staff or crystal orb of some kind.

However, I am a bit concerned with a sceptre as my "uber" weapon... Am I supposed to start bludgeoning peeps to death now? I am not going to faulty it for right now, I only have but to see the stats to understand what it will do for me. Perhaps it is another + to my charisma which is all the more reason I did not make a Charisma Prince on LoA. I am reaping the benefits of that decision constantly.

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing what all these items will do for the classes.

oooo scepter...never is one such type of weapon on lineage (well...if u think mace and clubs are considered the same type) If the scepter is useful...and when LoA benefits are brought to dep/ken..then maybe I should renew acc and do the quest.

sorry JDawgz if you are still following this thread i will answer. i been busy all weekend and havent had the time to come here and follow up on threads. forciano and i were discussing tests for burning weapon spell (lvl 50 fire elf spell) i was just offering the service of my lvl 50 elf to do tests with.

mages can throw the ball at things
but you can only throw it once, so be careful
but you can easily do the quest again, that level 58 balrog thing is a wimp for any mage with more than 200hp
