It’s time for a Q&A with the latest addition to the Lineage community – Community Coordinator Kyzah!

The guidelines to remember before starting:

1) Post only two questions. There are bound to be repeats, and we are only taking about a dozen or so.

2) The questions need to be directed toward the subject person and their duties. This isn’t the same as the Veteran Questions, since it is not to answer specific gameplay questions. It is a chance for you to interact with this particular person and ask them something about their duties / position / department.

this question is for ppl who live in US or Texas in particular
1) Does NC even bother to advertise Lineage? Is there any commercial at all?

I think if they spend a bit more on commercialising Lineage, there might be a boost in userdatabase.

#6 shinObi Well, I live in Houston, and I have never seen any kind of commercial for Lineage.... The only advertisements I ever hear about have been the ones that Amer and group tell us about by making it a news item on LC. hehe :) "If you go to Such-and-such a magazine, and turn to page 43, down under the 3rd paragraph, there's a little article about Lineage. check it out!" hehe.. Yes....... ADVERTISING.... is an interesting idea... but honestly.. how would you sell Lineage to today's videogaming industry? People have to be willing to accept poor, 2D graphics. Somehow I can't visualize a commercial that could pull off a successful sale to a random viewer. Word of mouth will probably continue to be the best advertising.

Speaking of marketing...Amer, didn't you guys get some kind of numbers about how many people had changed from Ken & Dep to LOA, and how many people on LOA were first-time customers? Maybe NC should be doing some polling of its new customers about how they heard about lineage? It sure wasn't MTV. hehe *sleep*

I have a computer gaming world from march 2001 that on page 30 there is a full page add for lineage. It has a picture of a Death Knight and screenshots at the bottom of people killing, drakes succubus in a castle and on a boat so. It really caught my eye because this is the first add ive ever seen for lineage. so i guess the answer to the question is yes.......rarely

Every time a new person gets the job, we get questions.... kinda gets old after a while doesn't it.

#7: Yes the graphics are crap but the engine (if you can call it that) it really 6 years old and you can't expect much from them. The newer graphics are surely better than the old werewolf (found on FI, must be some sprite number errors), orc or dwarf. They're slowly revolving and i'm sure they would market lineage more when it goes 3D.

Meaningless posts will be deleted. You don't have to post on *every* article. ^^
