windowed mode?? i use this since 1 year on my mac. but for playing it sux. just if u need to check an homepage or get ur emails :p

it sucks, when u click out of the window lineage still shows but nothing is updated..its just like a screenshot..nothing moves..your Hp doesnt go down (till you click back in lineage) and your dead..wtf is the point of that? u cant do anything

Ok this kicks ass :) Only thing I don't like is having to switch to 16 bit mode, but that's not a big problem. And to everyone, you can center the window with a program called "Sizer". Search for it at download.com.

put it in your lineage directory(most likely C:\Program Files\Lineage).
you should back up your original lineage.cfg just in case

lineage doesnt crash using windowed mode in linux :P

you can probably force shutdown lineage in windowed mode ^^

I find it very hard to see, since my resolution is always set so high
it's useful when fighting and stuff, u can just pop out of lin in case of emergency, but I wouldn't use it.

first of all, it's consider illegal since all players agreed not to temper with any files with in the lineage folder(this will bound to get NC's attention, and lin channel 2 will get another warn-_- they already got 1 for posting how to change lin.bin so it can never b dark, or aka, light hack)
lineage3d got a warning once for posting new unreleased sprits they found when they opened list.spr file without NC's consent.

it's very annoying that it freezes when u click out side of lin, and when u click back ur cursor goes nuts............and I would like to move it around, but the changes to lin.bin they posts are for hk server clients. they have an older version, so people haven't publish their "hack" on the US server lin.bin yet.

Actually, you can not close lineage by just closing the window, it does not allow you to close the window. So hence you couldnt use it to that effect

well maybe yours cant, but when i put it on 16 bit my wallpaper looks all shitty, it doesnt blend right with 16bit cause it doesnt have as many colors :P

I don't have to click the X on the top
I could also go down the task bar and right click on lineage window client and quit game

it's just a lil bit faster than doing alt+tab first.

well according to NC it's illegal, but they can't do much since they can't detect it unless it mods the server side too.
so things like numen are widly used(in asia anyways) and NC can't and won't do a jack about it, since they can't and no point doing.
but it is illegal

same as this newly mod cfg file, it's illegal, but they can't do much about it except for warning lin channel 2,lineage3d, and LC to take it off their sites.

do u know a lot of games runs in 256 colors== __ ==

it's too much for the comp to handle if the game runs in 32-bits.........

but we'll have it soon, so just use 16-bit when playing in window base, then change back when u leave lin..................
also wallpaper slows down ur comp, not a lot, but still does.

ohh to mention this, the file is somehow stupid-.- i was running one from hk lineage whihc informs me you cna adjust the files (mod the cfg) but mine turns out to be in korean-.-

that's bcuz some1 is not that bright-_-

u r running the cfg file u got that's supposingly for hk server, it uses chinese font, so u have chinese font.
but u'll only see korean probably bcuz: 1, u dun have chinese window,2 u didn't type "/lang chinese". also that file is for hk lin, they have an older client version than us, there will b some difference

if like, u can mod the lin.bin and have everything changed, u can mod the .spr file and have urself as a dk 24/7, and change ur tsu into a chair, change it so the lil rabbit hopping around are all dragons.

it's just programming, but it's illegal-- __ --

ok i got an off topic question. LC stat explantion says that having str of 23,24,25 all add the same amount of damage. So lets just say you have 23 base str without anythign and you put on a str ammy, will this do nothing damage wise? will you only get a bonus in damage when you put on a str glove for 2 more str making it 26...

it all a dice roll. u won't get a static number every single time.
so at 16,u have chance of rolling a +1dmg or +0dmg, at 17, u have a chance of getting a +1dmg and a chance of getting +2dmg.

so getting higher str is better, technically not bcuz u get more dmg, but more chance of getting a higher dmg. this goes for all stats: wep,armor,dex,con,whatever

but I think except char@.@;;

Zendorien - that was, by far, the most ignorant statement on these boards yet - "macs are the most horrible computers ever created" Tell me you were quoting some other ignorant person and this was not a thought you genuinely believe.

I use a Mac and have done so for the better part of 7 years.

How can you say this? What are you basing this on? Stability? Graphics? Processor speed? Your older brother? OSX has nothing but a passing similarity to previous mac operating systems, and for hard-core computer users, it is tough to beat.

celloman and tamashii ^_^ a few of my mac using lineage friends got onto this topic with me a long time ago of how the mac version on lineage is better then windows because you could turn off the water effects in hiene (no more though) and you could have it in windowed mode.

Now, my reply to them was this, with the price they paid for one mac I coudl buy two pc's, infact in my house I have five pc's ^_^ worst being a 500Mhz best being a 2.8 ghz (mine)

Any way, my point is that regening is usually a safe practice in lineage, I dont know about macs (sarcasm) but in windows we can alt tab on programs and games then view our emails and such then, or if you are like me you can have your laptop next to you ^_^

Tell me again why macs are so good ^_^

(P.S I am a graphics artist and love macs for graphics and their speed with programs involving graphics, I also enjoy the games that macs DO have because they run so damn smoothly on them ^_^ I like macs but I also like to argue and debate)

You know... I've argued the mac/windows thing for years. I've used both mac and windows and the one thing I've found to be almost invariably the same is that the people who advocate macs as God's gift to computer users also say "I've been using a Mac for 7 years". Yeah, I'm sure you've tried a PC once or twice, but almost all of you have never actually *used* a PC for a period of time or bothered to learn how to REALLY use a PC.

Yeah, it doesn't crash. Neither does Linux. Yeah the graphics are good. You can get a graphics card/monitor for PCs that would make a Mac look silly.
That, plus the fact that PCs have an overwhelmingly larger software base, far more users (And no, the large percentage of "hard-core" computer users do NOT use Macs. I don't know where you heard that, but it's wrong.) and the ability to actually change things pretty much completes my arguement.

And yes, I've used Apple products since the AppleII. I've used pretty much every iteration all the way up to iMacs and OSX. I've also used PCs since the 286 using Edlin (Anyone here remember THAT OS?), DOS, Win3.1, Win95, Win98, WinME, Win2000, WinXP, Win NT 2000, and various flavors/versions of Linux.

Honestly, I'm just pretty much getting sick of the current Mac-cram-fed propaganda. I hear different and *original* opinions on PCs all the time, but the only thing I hear from Mac users anymore sounds like a damned Macintosh PR session. Out of the box, yeah, they have those things over PCs. But if you know half, or heaven forbid, an entire shit about computers, PCs can be made to surpase everything in your list of extolments.
