servers down?

Just made this little thread in case you're having server difficulties too - I can't connect to the message boards or the servers! If its just some people, I'll delete the post, but are you guys seeing it too?

Some people have been saying that this will make NC lose customers, but look at us, we're just double-clicking the link over and over again! I'm not going anywhere! ^^

In the meantime, hop on the IRC to irc.stratics.com in the #lineage channel and chat! ^^

[update 3:48am ET] Servers are back! Go play (but visit the IRC channel from time to time too, NC staff is known to pop in!)
[update 3:58am ET] Servers down again. T.T
[update 4:58am ET] Servers came back awhile ago, but the NPC server keeps going up and down. they're up right now and hopefully they will stay that way.
[update 5:25am ET] GM01 logged onto the IRC and said: " Ok, server seems to be stable now. Time for me to sleep"
Thanks GM for your efforts so early in the morning. ^^
[update 5:38pm ET] Servers and boards down again. To all players who are new, this is not typical. We have no idea what is going on.

Yeah, It went down for me and now when I click the lineage icon it says some files are missing/corrupted or something... and when I tried to download it again it froze at 57%.

yup i have the same problem, can't connect. nothing at their
website. sounds like their servers crashed big time.

if you do a trace route you'll notice you get times out on the
Austin, TX Exodus servers. Hm...... ^^

Does anybody know, do we get "credit" for the time the server is down because their ISP is total traash? I mean, if the server is down 5 hours, and this happens 4 times a week, do they like take 3 bucks off the monthly price?. I've also noticed their website go "down" for extended periods of time durring the late night hours, because of Exodus.net. Or did some employee there just get drunk and passs out and accendetally turn the servers off?

Maybe that Melantas guy who posts here some times could respond?

I just hope this doesn't drive a way the newbies. yeah us long time ,high levels will click and wait all night.but will a NEWBIE?

I am very dissapointed. This is my 3rd day back after quiting for a few months. I was hoping that things would have changed by now but it looks like I will have to try this game again sometime next year :(

Thanks for making this thread. The fact that www.lineage-us.com is hosted on the same isp as the game servers is also pretty inexcusable. NCI should add 5 days to everyones account as compensation.

You get in IRC with a programm called MIRC which you can download from www.mirc.com. There's other programs too.

Amer I hope you don't mind but... this is lame. I clear my to do list to bare bones. I have been working 16 hour days , I am so far behind what has been happening in Dep its not funny. I log in , check my ping response 26 milliseconds to every server but NC's ISP , 109 average , spikes of 185. I log in, I am talking to a newbie , d/c. I struggle to get back on, and when I finally do the newbie is gone , and so are the people I wanted to talk to.
No big deal , I will just d/c , can't connect to the server. Man, I bought a backup service to my DSL in a high speed Modem connection. What do they want me to do , buy a backup of Lineage connection?
Mel said we are paying more because of server and bandwith cost, during beta, the server handled 1.2k per night with little lag , that NPC server lagged and had problems but this is beyond lame.

this really sucks.... but it does not happen very often.... all mmorpgs have bugs and problems.. lineage has the fewest of all the ones i have played... but it seems to have the most complainers.. why is that??
