How does this affect lineage in the united states? Any clue... Is Nc saying that everquest could possibly be better than lineage? o.0

NCSoft gets a win/win deal on this one. This is most likely the result of RG and Raph Koster, aka Designer Dragon<----cool guy, being friends. The funniest part is that Verant/SOE loses the server code for eq to NC. haha Nice manuever!!

So that you guys know, NCSoft has a deal with another MMO development company called Artifact Entertainment(AE). The deal says that when AE finally(!!) gets there game, Horizon, finished NCSoft, and only NCSoft, gets to bring the game to the Asian market.

I have been following Horizon for about a year and half now. If you want my opinion you should probably worry more about Horizon than EQ because in it you will be able to do one thing that I think a lot of people that play lineage would like to do, play an all powerful Dragon. And they have said that they aren't going to try to balance the races like they are in other games. They will let the dragons become powerful enough to defeat any of other races at a point in there aging/leveling, however they did hint that it would take around a RL year and a half for the dragons to age enough to get that powerful.

Hey, I love it. Sony is a great company, they know how to run their business. Can't imagine how it would hurt us in US lineage.

Its no surprise , LB and NCsoft need a publisher, they already stated in many books , published last year that they are looking for someone big to handle things. I mean look at the relauch , even Canadian giant , Sir-Tech Canada said the deal with EB was a failure. (Wizardy 8 came out with 0 fanfare, even the reviewers didn't know about until fansites posted about.) Sony has thier grubby paws nearly every major Online Rpg forcoming , this has to with Tabula Rasa.
More than likely LB is in bed with Sony and other companies for Tabula Rasa. This has nothing to do with Lineage.

n e wayz there's alwayz 2 sides to this argument...

1. Benifit lineage but financing it with revenue from EQ.
2. Destroy lineage by concentration on EQ developement rather than lineage.

1) We arent doing any EQ development. Sony/Verant handle that.
2) This has nothing to do with Lineage itself.
3) EQ isn't "Lineage 2", obviously. It's not a sequel to Lineage.
4) This has nothing to do with any other projects we are working on (Tabula Rasa). In other words, it doesn't mean Tabula Rasa will be cancelled because of EQ in Asia. They have nothing to do with each other. NCSoft is making Tabula Rasa.

someone...help im confused..all i know is that i hate EQ..and now im heraing all of this stuff...i play lineage cause of lineage thats it...so how about them raider's last night o.0
