a little late on the warning lc, but it's not your job
nc's website had a warning, but who goes there? besides, it says they would give warning in game shortly prior to the disconnects, which they didn't (at least on dep server).. i'm not pissed, and i didn't die anyway, but someone should get fired for that if they let it happen again, i'm not joking
if this is a weekly isp thing, they should probably get a new isp. i'm saying this despite the awesome under-50ms avg pings i get. any network that requires maintenance is no good, especially one that has no redundancy.. i don't think i'm being too unforgiving about the maintenance thing, because i'm pretty sure networks don't need to use hard disks, except for logging (logging transferred data is evil, imho -- btw, did you know ALL of your conversations in lin are logged by nc? i don't believe they're ever deleted either, just archived).. hard disks could use a defrag every now and then, i'm not sure about all types and file systems though. i don't know of any other legitimate reason for maintenance... as for redundancy, all networks should have it, because we pay monthly fees, and natural disasters could cut lines and stuff
that being said, nc has gotten much better about connectivity warnings than they were in the past, and the isp is not that bad.. but this type of stuff is not cool for mmorpg’s which rely so heavily on reliable connections

this is bullshit on ken server monitor03 didnt remind us early enough, he said he was looking at new schedule for maintenance time so he couldnt warn us early enough! wot kidna crap is this , a reminder my @$$!

I use to pay attention in almost everything that happen into the general chat window, but i didnt saw any warning, and I think that all people that were playing didnt.
I was in giran city when this happened, (Im lucky) but I saw many ppl who wanted his exp. back or roll back the server.
I want another DK/DE event now!! ^_^
